Demos are brief lessons (not full classes) meant to give us a taste of something we may want to pursue more. 

The IAMPETHvirtual Demo Event is the perfect opportunity to discover and fall in love with a new instructor or a new topic! 

We have selected a variety of topics to enhance your calligraphy arts world exposure.

We hope you take advantage of this opportunity to get a taste of something that may become your new infatuation!

Kind of both! Because our presenters are located all over the world in various time zones, we've asked them to pre-record a 45 minute demo lesson.

This recording will be shared live via Zoom with the instructor present to answer questions in chat. After watching the recording, during the remainder of the hour, the teacher will answer questions live before we move to the next demo lesson.

You will then have access to the recording to replay it again while you practice and review.

You are welcome to join us live or you can simply enjoy the recordings.

When watching the recordings, you can take advantage of automated closed captioning. This is a feature of Chrome (so you must use Chrome as your browser not Safari or Firefox, for example).

1. On your computer, open Chrome 
2. At the top right, click the 3 dots then go to Settings
3. At the bottom of the Settings page, click Advanced then Accessibility then Captions
4. Toggle on Live Caption

Please note that your IAMPETHvirtual Log In is separate from your regular IAMPETH Log In. Some day the two sites will hopefully be merged but, for now, they are separate platforms.

When you registered for an IAMPETHvirtual event, you made your own password. Please use your email and that password to log in to iampethvirtual.com to open the event.

If you have trouble logging in, please:

1) make sure you don't have cap locks on

2) retype your email and password carefully to avoid typos

3) use the "forgot password" feature on the login page

After logging in*, you will have access to My Library to open the events for which you have registered.

All links and handouts are visible to registered students after logging in to the portal.

No links or handouts will be sent via email.

The Zoom link and handouts (if any) will be available 24-48 hours before the online session.

Please double-check that you are using the correct link (if you registered for more than one Demo Block).

If you are using the correct link, please double-check the time of the session in your time zone. All listed schedule times are in California time. Please use Los Angeles or San Francisco as your comparisons. 

Please make sure that your Zoom name displays as your First Last name. If you do not properly identify yourself, you will be removed from the meeting.

You can create a free Zoom account before the event and edit your profile to be your first and last name.

If needed, to change your Zoom name after entering the meeting, find yourself in the Participants list. Click "more" next to your name and then "rename" to open a text box and edit your display name.
